Velma stood up. “What is it, Daphne?”

“Something is happening in the theater department.”

“That doesn’t tell me anything.”

“Sabotage,” Daphne said. “I’ll fill you in on the way.”

“Give me a few moments.”

They entered the theater five minutes later, to find Fred Jones already there. “Shaggy’s on his way.”

“Is that a good idea?”

“It’s better than them searching for such a door blindly.”

“I give you that,” Dana responded.

“I’m sure you have been tempted to look at hidden areas.”

“I have looked at various areas, but not around the Main Library. Mostly around the Science Department. Most of the hidden areas have old samples from before the 18th Century, that is before modern Taxonomy was developed.”

“Sounds interesting,” Freya said.

Dana saw that Freya had started daydreaming about what one could find down there, as she started staring off to the side.

“I’ll take you.”

Brittany pulled up into the Morgendorffers’ driveway. “See, five minutes. I guess they’re out the back,” she said as she turned off the engine, while also twirling a pigtail.

“Yes,” Quinn answered.

“In the yard?” Stacy asked.

“Yes, we don’t need to go through the house,” Daria said a she got out.

Kaelyn emerged from the TARDIS as Quinn lead the group around the side of the house past the kitchen door. “Kim and Ron have gone home overnight,” she said.

“But has the Doctor found more?” Daria asked.

“Yes, but it’s best that he explains it.”

“We still need to wait for Peter,” Quinn said.

“The Morgendorffers,” Claire said as she pulled up. “That’s where you’re staying?”

“For now,” Peter answered.

“Fourth Vigilante! Mr. Osborn doesn’t want you out this late,” one of them said.

“Oh, really?” the Enigma asked rhetorically. “Then this is my message. He would have to do a lot more to stop me from defending Lawndale!”

“We’re not stopping,” Dafoanairi added as she twirled her staff for emphasis.

“I knew you would say that.”

“And you know what happened the last time…” the Enigma said as a threat, while breaking a nearby tree branch telekinetlically.

“Mr. Osborn is on edge due to an encounter with other vigilantes earlier tonight.”

“You mean SpiderGirl and Ninja Talon?” Dafoanairi asked.

As he turned into another corridor, a report come in. “Mr. Osborn to the foyer.”

He picked up an intercom phone and dialed the foyer. “Osborn here, what’s the problem?”

“A young boy has been found sneaking around.”

“A boy,” he considered.

“Or something’s going on,” Claire said.

“No comment,” Peter said as he got out of the car.

The Doctor saw Quinn lead the other girls into the TARDIS.

“It’s bigger on the inside!” Stacy commented in a slight panic.

That was new. No one had been in a panic before as they said that.

“Dimensionally transcendental, according to the Doctor,” Quinn said. “And it’s perfectly safe, Stacy. It’s where the Doctor would take it that would be dangerous.”

“Oh.”

“I’ll take that as a yes,” Dafoanairi said. “Where was this?”

“We’re not answering your questions.”

“You’re not escalating,” the Enigma noted. “Probably because Mr. Osborn wants minimal disruptions. Like, not disturbances of the peace.”

The agent was then silent.

“I shall be there right away.”

Osborn saw him straight away. “Sam Griffin!” he said.

“You know him, sir?” one of the security officers asked.

“Yes. He’s the older son of Linda Griffin,” Osborn answered.

“Should we call her?”

“I’ll talk to him first.”

Elsewhere in the southern areas of Lawndale, Brittany Taylor was preparing to head to the Historia for a day with friends. But she noticed a notification on her laptop.

“We’re not answering your questions.”

“You’re not escalating,” the Enigma noted. “Probably because Mr. Osborn wants minimal disruptions. Like, not disturbances of the peace.”

The agent was then silent.

“Then we’ll be, like, on our way,” the Enigma said, as she expanded the forcefield in his direction.

“No!” the agent said as he extended a baton.

“That’s not a threat,” Dafoanairi stated.

“Actually….” The Enigma started as she picked something up through her enhanced perception.

“It’s not a normal baton, got it,” Dafoanairi snarked. “It’s going to be one of those nights.”

The agent swung the baton against the forcefield. Electricity and the Enigma’s energy sparked. “That’s the best Oscorp can come up with?” the Enigma asked.

The agent just lunged again.

“Enough!” the Enigma said with annoyance before telekinetically exploding the baton in the agent’s hand, although the part he was grasping remained intact.

Andrea: I have heard something about Alchemax planning to infiltrate the new Oscorp facility today

“Ooh!” Brittany said as she twirled a pigtail.

Brittany: Do you know anything more?

Andrea: Not much more, but I’m sure SpiderGirl would like to know.

Brittany: I’ll let her know, but I’m sure she’s on patrol right now. I was heading to the Historia anyway. I’ll meet her there before lunch.

Brittany grabbed a satchel containing her Ninja Talon suit from a hidden space beneath her bedroom floor and headed out.

“Agh” the guard said as he dropped the remains of the baton. He then ran off.

“Like, he won’t be scared off for long,” the Enigma commented as she deactivated the forcefield.

Tania Ashworth was still awake when she heard something out in the yard. She looked out and saw the Enigma and Dafoanairi there. “Of course,” she groused to herself. She opened the window. “I’ll meet you on the roof.”

---

First, she headed towards the Jefferson Bridge, or rather to the spot beneath it where she and Quinn had revealed their secret identities to each other.

She arrived at the Historia after finding that Quinn wasn’t at the Bridge. In the café, she found her friend Donna ordering brunch.

“Hi, Brittany,” Donna said. “You wanted to talk about something.”

“Just that Tempest is finishing it’s run tonight,” Brittany responded, referring to the adaption of Shakespeare’s The Tempest she had been starring in.

“I knew that,” Donna said. “But I’m sure there are other plays coming here.”

“That’s right.”

Near midnight, Olivia and Janara approached the Main Library to find Freya waiting for them. She had set up her torch with it’s tripod legs and was sketching in it’s light.

“Always sketching, huh?” Janara asked in a light hearted manner.

“Nearly always,” Freya said as she put the sketchbook in her satchel and picked up the torch.

Olivia looked around.

On the roof, Tania listened as Dafoanairi told her what had just happened.

“It’s like last week,” Tania groused as she recalled being followed by agents after leaving High Hills Park.

“It is likely to get worse before it gets better,” Dafoanairi said.

“And now there’s this fad and Mr. O’Neill!” Tania grumbled.

“How did you handle the question?” Dafoanairi asked.

“By saying something unusual, like a bee, ant or butterfly.”

---

“That’s right. But we won’t be in them straight away.”

“So, you’re worried about not being involved?”

“A little, but being Ariel has been a little exhausting,” Brittany admitted.

“Well, there was that time you got hurt.”

“Not just that,” Brittany said, waving it off a bit, as she had got injured while being Ninja Talon, “It’s a good exhaustion. Like when we spend a long afternoon cheering.”

“I get it,” Donna said, with a smile.
