“Then let’s find her,” Daria suggested.
“OK,” Quinn said.
“But we have to be quick. She leaves rather quickly when school lets out,” Sandi said.
“Got it.”
They quickly walked out of the school to the front entrance.
They looked around, but they didn’t see Tori. “So, she’s blonde, right?” Daria asked.
“Yes,” Quinn answered.
“To her shoulders, usually worn loose,” Stacy added.

“That’s interesting.”
“There are many other campaigns, mostly in the Roman Era.”
“I suppose I could look into it, at some point,” Olivia said.
“Or you could watch let’s plays on VideoSpace.”
“Would there be any in Auroran?”
“Of course. Aurora’s gaming community is quite large for it’s population,” Janara answered.
“Got it. I’m heading to the Library again.”
“Already?”
“It may be early, but there is a lot to find,” Olivia said.
Janara turned to her. “Just don’t wear yourself out, OK?”

Excerpt from: Spider Quinn
SpiderGirl waited near Osborn’s room after reassuring Harry again. She had considered webbing up the corridor, but decided that wouldn’t be a good idea, given that it would take time for the cleaning staff to deal with. Soon, there was an echo as William slammed open the fire doors at the end.
“SpiderGirl!” he called out.
SpiderGirl could see that he was beginning to revert, but he was still mostly in his altered form. “William! I can’t let you hurt Osborn!”
“What? So his son won’t be an orphan?”
“That’s part of it! The other is that there are certainly others in Oscorp who are more responsible than he is.”
“But I don’t know who they are,” William said.
“I repeat what I said!” SpiderGirl stated as she saw the tell tale purple glow of the Enigma’s powers appear at the door behind William.
William continued running towards SpiderGirl.
Dafoanairi followed the Enigma into the corridor and saw SpiderGirl trying to keep William from entering a room. “Fire some warning shots over his head, but not near SpiderGirl,” she said.
“I suppose,” the Enigma said. “Low intensity,” she added as she pointed above William and then fired.
SpiderGirl saw the small projection fly over William’s head. “See, the fourth vigilante is here too, give up!”
“No!” William cried out.
SpiderGirl blocked the doorway.
“No!” William cried out again and tried to get past her. But he found that he couldn’t move.
The Enigma was trying to hold him in place telekinetically. “This is very difficult,” she said.

“We need to find Peterson,” Quinn said.
“I’m sure she’ll find out soon enough. But there is something else we can do.”
“Which is?”
“We’ll go and try to talk to his parents again,” Helen answered. She turned to Marianne, who had turned from her desk. “Marianne, tell Eric that I had to duck out due to an emergency.”
“I will, Helen.”
“Come on, Quinn.”
“Right behind you,” Quinn said.
Daria, Jane and Jennifer left the Historia out the rear entrance. “So, what are we doing?” Jennifer asked.
“I’ll drop you two at Jane’s and then look for the fourth vigilante,” Daria answered.
“You don’t want us to know her secret identity too,” Jane concluded.
“Exactly, and you’re likely to be safe there,” Daria said.
“True,” Jane said.
“I’d likely to be just as safe at the Historia. I’d like to help,” Jennifer said. “Even if SpiderGirl conveniently roped me into this.”
Daria could see that Jennifer was struggling a little. “You can do it. You’re helping with the play after all,” she said as she turned on the engine.
“Thanks,” Jennifer said.
“And you can help Jane. She has gathering various maps of Lawndale. Maybe you two can try to figure out where William might go.”
“Good idea, Daria,” Jane said.
Jane thought about it as Daria drove towards Howard Drive. ‘It would be difficult for me to leave as the Shadow if Jennifer is there, but Daria would be suspicious if I refuse Jennifer’s help now. I’ll have to wait five minutes and get Trent to help Jennifer with my project.’

After spending some time at the café, Freya and Alexia went down into the gallery.
‘But where to start?’ Freya asked herself. She grabbed a pamphlet. “We’re on the top floor, which has artworks created in the modern era.”
“How is that defined?” Alexia asked.
“Since the beginning of the 19th Century.”
“That makes sense. The beginning of the industrial era.”
Freya looked at the pamphlet again. “Then the Early Modern Era is on the second floor. The Renaissance on the first floor and part of the ground floor, with the Medieval period, including the Nordic Era taking up the rest of that floor. Artworks from the Roman Era and earlier are in the basement.”
“Much simpler than the library.” Alexia commented. “But then the building dates from the Renaissance.”
“There’s probably some other building that got repurposed.”
They then entered one of the rooms and started looking.

After talking to Brittany, Quinn went to the Lowdown office at the same time as Daria to find that Ted had found something.
“Confirmed, there is a death certificate,” Ted said as he turned from the computer.
“It has to be fake,” Quinn said.
“Not that I don’t believe you, but could he be…” Ted began.
“I don't think a ghost could finish off three pieces of cake and two cappuccinos,” Quinn said.
“I was just checking,” Ted said. “Given superheroes in Lawndale, one who swings from webs and another with telekinesis…”
“Still a leap from that to ghosts,” Daria said.
“True,” Ted said. He turned back to the computer. “But I found something else.”
Both Daria and Quinn looked his shoulders. “The doctor who signed the death certificate was also involved in various clinical trials with Oscorp around that time.”
“Oscorp,” Quinn considered. “It comes back to them.”
“So, they were here eight years ago,” Daria said. “What sort of trial was this?”
“I haven’t managed to find that information yet. What I have been able to find was heavily redacted.”
“Of course.”
“But I will keep looking,” Ted said.
As school let out, Daria found Sandi on the roof, looking out over the town.

They then entered one of the rooms and started looking.
“This is very large,” Alexia said after they had looked at several paintings.
“It would probably take us years to properly appreciate all the artworks,” Freya said. “That’s how large the collection is.”
“And you say that some went missing?”
“Yes. A number of mysteries in Aurora’s history of Art.”
They spent over an hour going through the gallery before deciding they had enough for the time being (and Freya was finding herself overwhelmed).
Olivia entered the coffee house cafeteria across the Square from the Library.

As school let out, Daria found Sandi and Jane on the roof, looking out over the town. “You still looking for extracurricular activities?” she asked Sandi.
“Yes,” Sandi answered. “But it will take a while longer.”
“It’s best not to rush it,” Daria said.
“But, what did Ted find?” Jane asked.
Daria then explained what Ted had found.
At the same time, SpiderGirl and Ninja Talon arrived at the Historia after leaving the school earlier. “How are we going to do this?” Ninja Talon asked.
“We have to go inside, and find out if he’s there or not, and then we’ll rescue him,” SpiderGirl answered. If the father is there, I can web him up quite quickly.”
“But is it a good idea?”
“Leaving him there certainly isn’t.”
“Good point,” Ninja Talon responded. “Let’s do this!”
They then swung off towards the Morris’ house, in the northwest.
At the same tine Harry entered his father’s hospital room. A CD player was going, playing a recording of something by Chopin. The music triggered a memory of a conversation they had a few weeks earlier. He sighed, it wasn’t something he wanted to think about.
SpiderGirl and Ninja Talon arrived at the Morris’ place and looked at the house from one of the trees in the front yard. “The upstairs windows are probably unsecured,” SpiderGirl said. “There are many that aren’t next to trees.
Ninja Talon nodded and they then swung over to the roof. SpiderGirl then hung upside down from the eaves to check each window.
‘It’s amazing how she can do that,’ Ninja Talon thought as she watched.
SpiderGirl opened the third window she tried and looked into the room beyond and found that it was deserted. “This one,” she said quietly.
Ninja Talon led the way out of the bedroom they had entered through. The upstairs hallway didn’t look any less creepy.

Louisa looked in the mirror. The strange thing was happening again. But that wasn’t what was important. It looked like Jo was rather upset. ‘But what to do?’ She remembered what happened earlier, when Jo had tried to write on the mirror with that strange pen. She reached out, and the mirror rippled.
Something then happened. There was a strange pulling sensation and Louisa found herself in a room that looked like her room, but wasn’t. She then approached the crying girl.

Sanderson sighed. “Anyway I called Ms. Li once I got signal. She should be here shortly.”
‘Great!’ Quinn thought.
Ms. Li pulled up at the hospital, noting that the bus she had leant Sanderson (and Quinn) was parked haphazardly across many parking spaces. ‘Really! She should have the presence of mind to park the bus properly!’
“Where’s Ms. Coultard?” she asked once she entered.
“She’s with the patient,” Olivia answered.
“I see. And why is the bus parked the way it is?”
“It was SpiderGirl who parked it that way!” Quinn answered.
“What!”
“And she hotwired it!” Gerald said.
“She’s a menace, I tell you!” Li exclaimed.
“She isn’t. She was just trying to help. Without her, Gerald would have ran off home and I would still be walking here,” Quinn said.
‘Ms. Morgendorffer is hiding something I’m sure,’ Li thought.
‘Ms. Li suspects something,’ Quinn thought.
“Now, tell me everything that happened,” Ms. Li said.
The two students became talking over each other.
“Slow down!”
“So, let me get this straight… Gerald ran off after you called the ambulance,” Li said.
“Yes,” Quinn answered.
“Then you met SpiderGirl?”
Quinn nodded.

The ambulance was on it’s way to the hospital. “How are you now?” Anna asked.
“You know that I’m more than under the weather,” Ben answered. “I know what Copperhead venom does!”
“But they have put in the antivenin, right?”
“It takes a while to take effect.”
“Uh oh!” Ben said.
“What?”
“Something else is wrong! There may be a tick! Or a leach!”
“Leech? You weren’t in water,” Anna said.
“Help! Tick!”
“Tick?” one of the paramedics asked.
“Ignore him, he’s a hypochondriac,” Sanderson said.
“We need to check him over.”
Behind the ambulance, SpiderGirl was driving the school bus haphazaradly. Gerald was holding on for dear life. “Can’t you just carry me to the hospital?” he asked.
“No,” SpiderGirl answered. “Now, it seems that a bus is more difficult than a pickup, but I will get us to the hospital.”
“Right…” Gerald said as SpiderGirl made another sharp turn.
But it wasn’t far from the forest to Cedars of Lawndale. Only a mile and a half as the crow flies and through streets that weren’t all that busy, so SpiderGirl’s driving of the bus didn’t put anyone else at risk.
Gerald considered that as he was already at the hospital, that he may as well stay in the waiting room.
SpiderGirl left the bus as soon as she parked it and decided to patrol around the hospital before returning as her civilian self.
Olivia arrived at the waiting room to find Gerald there. “Oh! You decided to come here?” she asked.
“No, SpiderGirl dragged me here!”
“SpiderGirl?”
“Yes, and she drove the bus here too!” Gerald said.
“The bus, but I still have the keys!”
“She hotwired it too,” Gerald said.
“I find that difficult to believe.”
“It’s what happened, Miss Sanderson,” Quinn said as she entered the waiting room.
“Did SpiderGirl bring you here too?” Sanderson asked.
“After driving Gerald here, yes,” Quinn answered.

They soon arrived at the phone booth Quinn had used the previous day. ‘I hope they won’t think it’s crying wolf,’ she thought as she dialled 911.
“911 Emergency.”
“A boy has been bit by a Copperhead in the West Lawndale Forest, near the bus stop,” Quinn said.
“How long ago was this?”
“A little less than ten minutes,” Quinn answered.
Quinn hung up. “They’re on their way.”
“Good,” Gerald said. “I’m going to walk home.”
“No! Miss Sanderson and Ms. Li will be angry. I have duty of care as well!”
“Then, you shouldn’t have tried to help me!” Gerald said he left.
‘Great!’ Quinn thought. She started running back to where She left the teacher and the two students. ‘I can’t go after him as SpiderGirl. Not yet.’
“Where’s Gerald?” Sanderson asked.
“He ran off after I made the 911 call. I couldn’t stop him,” Quinn answered, quietly.
Sanderson sighed. “You did the right thing, coming back. But I’m going to get the heat from Ms. Li!. The school’s going to get the bill for the call out too.”
“I know.”
It was another ten minutes before the ambulance arrived. The paramedics gave the antivenin and loaded Ben on the ambulance. “Can I come with?” Anna asked.
“It will cost the school more,” Sanderson said.
“I don’t care,” Anna said.
“In for a penny,” Sanderson murmured. “But I have to take Quinn back to the School.”
“Quinn’s gone,” Anna said.
“What?”
