Excerpt from: Mysteries of Aurora
“What did you find?”

Olivia then related what she had found from the Nordic Era.

“That is something,” Janara considered. “You know it’s not my area, but I’ll help in some way.”

“Thanks.”

Freya sketched the view from the balcony near her room shortly after breakfast. “What secrets are hiding?” she asked herself. “Somehow, I know I’m going to be involved in some things.”

“Talking to yourself, Freya?” Dana asked as she came up to her from the building.

“Oh, trying to make sense of some things.”

“There have been passageways that have been lost over time as the smial expanded,” Saradoc considered. “But there are official plans of the Hall. I will get them.”

His father soon came back with a large book. “It’s not just Brandy Hall, but most of the centre of Bucklebury too,” he said as he opened it.

“This is going to take a while,” Merry said as he started leafing through it.

Excerpt from: Another Code – Yet Another ANOTHER
Ashley Muziki Robins was starting College, but she didn’t expect her parents’ past to catch up with her again.

She entered the dorm room and found that her roommate was already there. “Elizabeth?” she said. For her roommate was Elizabeth Albert!

“Ashley?” Elizabeth asked in disbelief.

Excerpt from: Spider Quinn
The Shadow approached one of the Hospital’s buildings and fired her grapple gun to get onto the roof. ‘Now, I need to use non destructive gadgets…’

SpiderGirl returned to where Osborn was. She squinted at the bright lights in the corridor. ‘I saw that the basement was dark, and we didn’t turn on most of the lights in the café last night,’ she thought. ‘Thus the lights need to be turned off. But how am I going to turn off enough lights to make a difference?’

She found an office where Doctor Phillips was.

“SpiderGirl?” he asked.

“Doctor Phillips, I have an idea how to stop the assailant.”

“And that is?”

“We’ll turn off the lights in the corridors and he’ll revert to his usual human self,” SpiderGirl explained.

“That would be difficult, given the lockdown.”

“Can I call the lobby?”

“Sure.”

Doctor Lisa Cuddy was having a bad day. Especially when Officer Peterson had commandeered her office. Thus she was in the lobby when the internal phone rang. She picked it up. “Lobby.”

“SpiderGirl here, I have an idea to stop this rampage.”

“What is that?” she asked.

“He is the way he is because he is being exposed to strong light, like sunlight or the fluorescent lights in the corridors. So, if we turn them off…”

“It sounds like a good idea, but I’ll put Peterson on.”

“Thanks.”

Peterson saw Cuddy enter the office. “Yes?”

“SpiderGirl has an idea. She’s on the phone.”

“I knew she would,” Peterson said as she reached for it.

“SpiderGirl?” Peterson asked.

“I have an idea,” SpiderGirl said and told Peterson her theory that turning off the lights should cause William to revert.

“But what if it doesn’t work quickly? It would probably then be too dark to do anything.”

“My hearing is enhanced. I’ll know where he is, and his hearing may not be.”

“Right, Cuddy and I will announce it. I hope it will work, Spidey.”

“Are you sure?” Cuddy asked Peterson.

“I trust SpiderGirl. Her instincts have often proved correct over the past several months.”

“OK, let’s do this.”

“The assailant is a metahuman who transforms in strong light. Turn off the overhead lights and close all the curtains, and be vigilant,” Peterson announced over the intercom.

Dafoanairi and the Enigma looked at each other as they heard the announcement. “I hope that would work,” the latter said.

“It better, but it would take time and he knows what we’re up to.”

Excerpt from: The Engineer and the Time Lady
Lena and Leonard watched as Elsa gave Olaf his own snowstorm to sustain him. Then the Baffin contacted them.

“Baffin to Andersen and Albert, some in.”

Lena discretely tapped her commbadge. “Andersen here, we’re returning shortly.”

“Understood, Greene out.

“We can easily Bifrost onto your ship. It would be better than revealing your teleportation technology,” Thor said.

“Have any been found?”

“Not as far as I know, but I could look it up,” Freya responded before taking out her tablet.

“You don’t have to right now.”

“I guess not.”

“But what else are you doing today?” Dana asked.

“Staying here in the Hall. I’ll be spending time with others here, especially other freshmen, later, so I’ll get to know them better and vice-versa. I have been mostly hanging out with you.”

“That’s a good idea. I know there will be a movie night in the Main Common Room tonight.”

“What sort of movie?” Freya asked.

“I think they were talking about a romance set in the South in the late 17th Century.”

“I’ll think about it,” Freya considered with a smile.

At the same time, Olivia returned from breakfast to find Olivia playing one of her games. “Which game is that?” she asked.

“Imperial Ages. I was inspired by what you have been talking about to play this particular compaign.”

“How so?”

“Aurora is one of the playable civilisations and this is set during the Nordic Era.”

Excerpt from: Spider Quinn
“We better get started.”

“Ahead of you,” Dafoanairi said as she found a light switch and flipped it off.

The Enigma smiled as she saw another switch in the distance and flipped it telekinetically.

The Shadow heard the announcement as she entered by one of the roof doors. ‘Of course it’s Peterson,’ she thought. She prepared to switch her mask to low light mode.

SpiderGirl heard the announcement and then turned to Doctor Phillips. “Could you help me with this corridor? I’ll do one way and you can do the other.”

“Sure,” Phillips said.

SpiderGirl went to the door and looked both ways. “He isn’t in this corridor, quickly now.”

William hurried through the corridors. He wanted to get to Osborn before it became too dark and he reverted to usual self. He then heard the Enigma and Dafoanairi catching up behind him. ‘And SpiderGirl is certainly to be ahead.’ He wasn’t sure that he would last against three of Lawndale’s vigilante heroes. ‘Just as well Ninja Talon is out of action.’
