'Yes!'

A short time later, after Pentallion had gained some distance between them and the Star , the Doctor, Felicia and Martha led the surviving crewmembers into Section 30, where the TARDIS waited.

“This is never your ship,” Scannel said.

“Compact, eh? And another good word, robust! Barely a scorch mark on her,” the Doctor responded.

“We can't just leave you drifting with no fuel,” Martha said.

“We've sent out an offical mayday. The authorities will pick us up soon enough,” Riley stated.

“Though how we explain what happened...” Scannel started.

“Just tell them. That sun needs care and protection just like any other living thing,” the Doctor and Martha entered the TARDIS.

“So, er, you're off then. No chance I'll see you again?”

“It's not very likely,” Felicia admitted. “It was nice, not-dying with you. I reckon you'll find someone to believe in soon enough.”

“I think I already did,” Riley said with a smile.

“I don’t know,” Daria answered.

“There’s little the TARDIS can’t do,” the Doctor responded.

Soon, there were blips. “What are those blips?” Clara asked.

“They are something unusual,” the Doctor responded. “They occurred at the same time as the power outage. But the TARDIS can’t determine much.”

“It’s determined their locations though?” Dani asked.

“She’s determined the locations, yes,” the Doctor answered. “And they’re uploaded to the sonic and Clara’s phone.”

Clara took out her phone and looked at the maps app. “I see. Let’s go then.”

“You can upload them to my phone too,” Dani pouted.

“Sure, just put it on the console.”

Dani put her phone on the console and the Doctor pressed several buttons. “There you go!” he said. She picked it up again. “You’ll find that you have true universal roaming. Never go without a signal again.”

“Cool.”

Five minutes later, the trio approached the closest of the locations, halfway between where the TARDIS had landed and the river. The Doctor scanned the area with the Sonic. “There’s nothing now, but there may be residual traces.”

“If you can modify our phones, could they be used to scan, like with that sonic?” Dani asked.

“Maybe. The modifications are mostly in the software,” the Doctor responded.

“And you're looking for someone named Felicia?”

“Yes. She travels with the Doctor after I do. Then Felicia is somehow skipping backwards along the Doctor's timeline,” Clara explained.

“Very interesting,” Will considered.

“So the Doctor sent me to find clues as to her whereabouts.”

“I didn't meet her, so I have no idea. But you could stay a while while I try to gather information.”

“But how long would that be?” Clara asked.

“I have my sources. It would be a week at most.”

Doctor Who – Chasing Time
Clara Oswald was ready to go home. She had had several adventures with the Doctor since he had picked her up from the Maitlands’. She entered the Console Room. “Are we almost there?” she asked.

“We are,” the Doctor said, confidently. The TARDIS then came to a halt. “We’re there.”

Clara exited the TARDIS find that she wasn’t where she expected to be. “Doctor!”

The Doctor emerged from the TARDIS and looked at the house which had a façade which was a mirror image of the one which the Maitlands resided in. “Let me check,” he said.

Clara followed him back into the TARDIS. “Where are we?”

“Somewhere in Birmingham, about a month early,” the Doctor said as he looked at the scanner.

“A month? That’s a lot of time to spend on the Slow Path,” Clara considered.

“Too long,” the Doctor said. “But we may be here for a reason.”

“Of course,” Clara said as she used her phone to look at a news website. She found that it didn’t list anything unusual.

“Anything?”

“No,” Clara said with a sigh.

“Let’s try anyway.”

The TARDIS materialised again, across the street a day later. “Obviously we need to be here,” Clara said as she emerged and looked at the house again.

“Maybe we need to talk to whoever lives there,” the Doctor said.

Clara looked towards the setting sun before ringing the doorbell. ‘Should have done this yesterday,’ she thought.

There was no immediate response. “Maybe no one’s home,” the Doctor said. “Maybe we should go back to yesterday.”

“No. I’ll ring it again,” she said. The pressed the button.

Soon the door was opened by an older teenage girl who reminded Clara of herself at that age. ‘Blimey, do I have to jump to conclusions here?’ she wondered.

“Hello,” the girl said as she twirled the end of her ponytail. “Who are you?”

The Doctor got out the psychic paper. “Smith and Oswald Detective Agency. We’ve heard that something out of the ordinary has been happening in this neighbourhood.”

“Really?” the girl said incredulously. “I thought no one was paying attention.”

Doctor Who: Clara Oswald Doesn’t Exist
The Cybermen closed in on Clara Oswald.

“Stop! You can’t kill me,” she called out.

“Incorrect.”

“I’m a target of strategic value. Alive, I’m a tactical advantage. Dead, I’m your biggest mistake. You don’t know who I am.”

One of the Cybermen scanned her. “You are Clara Oswald. You are human. You are unimportant.”

“Incorrect!” Clara said, deciding to continue along the line she was going along. “That is what you’re supposed to think. That is what everybody thinks.”

“You are Clara Oswald.”

“Clara Oswald is a cover story, a disguise. There is no Clara Oswald.”

“Identify.” The Cyberman seemed a little incredulous, if a Cyberman could inflict it’s voice so.

“Oh, don’t be so slow, it’s embarrassing. Who could fool you like this? Who could hide right under your nose? Who could change their face any time they want? You see, I am not Clara Oswald. Clara Oswald has never existed!”

“Identify!”

“I am the Doctor.”

The three Cybermen came closer. “Well here to start? I was born on the planet Gallifrey, in the constellation of Kasterborous. I'm a Time Lord, but my Prydonian privileges were revoked when I stole a time capsule and ran away. Currently pilot a Type 40 Tardis. I've been married four times, all deceased. My children and grandchildren are missing, and I assume, dead. I have a non-Gallifreyan daughter created via genetic transfer. How much more do you need? I'm the Doctor.”

“This information is not proof. We require proof.”

“Proof?” Clara asked rhetorically. “I’ll give you proof.” She grabbed a fob watch from one of her pockets. “Get ready to scan me again.” She then flipped the fob watch, or rather chameleon arch open. Golden energy rippled over her.

“Scanning,” the first Cyberman said. It found something. “Bicardial circulation system… Time Lord physiology detected!”

“Told you.”
Doctor Who – Investigating Introspection
Laurence collapsed against the TARDIS. He was out of breath from all of that running. Maybe that was a mistake, he thought as he slid down the side of the timeship. The Doctor came up quickly. “Laurence!” he called out.

“I’m fine,” Laurence said weakly.

“No, you’re not.”

The Doctor brough Laurence into the TARDIS and set the ship in motion. He then took him to the medbay, where he quickly found the reason why he had collapsed. “Oh, Laurence, you know you could have told me.”

When Laurence came to, he found he breath better. But he then breathed quicker. ‘I didn’t want the Doctor to find out this way. He opened his eyes and found the Doctor right there. “No!” he said as he covered his chest.

“Relax, Laurence,” the Doctor said with understanding in his eyes.

‘Always assuming the worst, Oswald!’ Laurence remonstrated mentally. “Sorry. I should have said something earlier.”

The Doctor smiled. “I’d say that you didn’t need to. I may be clueless about some aspects of humanity, but I wasn’t clueless about this. I was going to let you tell me when you were ready.” He then ruffled Laurence’s short hair.

“Thanks, Doctor,” Laurence said as he sat up.

“And the TARDIS does have clothes that achieves the effect you want without hindering breathing.”

Laurence smiled. “It does?”
Doctor Who: Oswald’s Challenges
Clara rushed. The TARDIS was going to be there any moment. She was sure of it. She finished putting on her makeup. She looked over herself again. Everything was hidden, including the Adam’s apple. She turned and heard the TARDIS beginning to materialize.

Clara entered the TARDIS and saw that the Doctor was dressed in her usual cricket derived outfit. “Hello, Clara,” she said. “Had a good week?”

Her week had in fact had had the usual ups and downs. “Mostly good,” she answered.

The Doctor nodded in understanding. She knew what Clara meant. That she wanted an adventure that would take her mind off things. “There are many places we could see,” she said.

“Future places?” The last place they had been in the past was stressful to say the least.

“Of course.”
