“What is it to you?”
“Insolent child! You are trespassing!”
“So, I am,” Jade countered.
The lady grabbed onto her. “Come with me!”
“No!” Jade said. She then used a Judo move to get free.

“I was thinking about that already,” Talia said.
“We’re going back now?” Xenia asked.
“Not yet,” Freya responded. “It might be hidden somewhere nearby.”
“We already searched,” Talia said.
Freya turned in Talia’s direction. “I’d still like to check.”
“Go ahead.”
Xenia watched as Freya went over the various shelves. “You didn’t expect something like this, didn’t you?” she asked Talia.
“No. It was Olivia who suggested bringing Freya in.”
“So, she went to class?”
“She did,” Talia answered.

“I can’t say much more,” Stacy said.
“We need to tell Kim and others we found her,” Ron said.
“Kim?” Stacy asked.
“Ron’s friend and also Daria and a robot named Kaelyn,” Quinn answered.
“A robot?” Stacy asked.
“A long story,” Ron answered.
Daria, Kim, Kaelyn and Brittany searched the last bathroom. “She has to be in a courtyard somewhere,” Daria said. “I hope the others have found her.”
“I think I know where,” Brittany said as she twirled a pigtail.
“You do?” Kim asked.
“I have seen her there before,” Brittany said.
“Why didn’t you say this before?” Daria asked.
“You didn’t ask.”
“Of course not,” Daria groused. “Lead the way.”
Stacy was still going over what was happening when Daria, Brittany and two others arrived.
“Brittany?” the Doctor asked.
“Hi, Doctor,” Brittany said.
‘She travels with the Doctor too?’ Stacy wondered briefly.
“I see you have got involved in this too,” the Doctor said to Brittany.

“Exactly,” Osborn projected.
“But it’s not the real SpiderGirl! I want to interview the real SpiderGirl, not some fake!” Anders said.
“But the only ones who will know that would be SpiderGirl herself, Ninja Talon and possibly the other vigilantes. And remember, I know that your stunts are staged, so you don’t have a leg to stand on here.”
“This is different.”
“From my point of view it isn’t,” Osborn said in an unnerving tone. “If I don’t see your interview with SpiderGirl tonight, I’ll leak the information about your staged stunts to the Sun-Herald or WLND.”
Anders realised that she was in a bind. “Fine! But remember that I could reveal this myself at some point.”
“It would be your word against mine. Have a good day Ms. Anders. You may switch off on that end, Ms. Fields.”
“Yes, sir,” Fields said as she switched off the camera.
“I guess he wants you to be the fake SpiderGirl?” Anders asked.
Fields nodded. “Not something I expected to be doing when I applied for a job at Oscorp. I have been in several positions over the past few years after college.”
“I see. Be at the studio by six.”
“I’ll be there.”
As they arrived at school, most of the students of Lawndale High were talking about the events of the previous afternoon.
Quinn considered it unlikely that any of her fellow students were responsible for the robot pterodactyl, but she couldn’t rule out the possibility. ‘But how to investigate the use of the school facilities without raising suspicion?’ she wondered. Being involved in the Lowdown only went so far. She met up with Stacy, Tori and Tiffany shortly before homeroom.
“There was more news this morning,” Tori said.
“I read the paper,” Quinn said.
“If only Mom didn’t need to stay back late,” Tori mused.
“Someone has to do it,” Quinn said.
“True, the Sun-Herald would be all speculative,” Tori said.
