33 Terminator Salvation
Rewatch. (Note: watched earlier in June than the 19th.) The fourth Terminator film. Set in 2019, sometime after Judgement Day, when John Conner is a rising figure in the Resistance. Also the only Terminator installment without any time travel (although both John Conner and Skynet are aware of it.) There are a couple of plot lines. The main plotline follows John Conner as an important part of the resistance. The other follows Marcus, a man who remembers being incarcerated prior to Judgement Day.
This is an interesting take on the Terminator story. The post Judgement Day society is developed, showing how humanity has organised so as to survive Skynet's genocidal campaign. This is done quite well, with the resistance developed along miltary lines. (That's a realistic take, of course. A resistance in that kind of situation would hardly have developed differently.) Although John Conner has to go against orders to save Kyle Reese. The point he makes, that the resistance shouldn't sacrfice others like machines, is a good one.
He is right that there is no point fighting Skynet if humanity is becoming just like it. Christian Bale delivers his lines rather well. It is rather easy to believe that this person would take out Skynet in the future. Sam Worthington was aslo good as Marcus. A ver good movie. 8.5/10.
