Excerpt from: Quinn's Code (Daria AU) 17: Noob of Lawndale High
“He doesn't belong to cult, and the shrink wrap never comes off that software. Soon as I get it, I'm exchanging it for Cannibal Fragfest III on DVD-ROM.”
“Computer ultraviolence. Goya would have loved that,” Jane commented.
Jennifer smirked.

Again, Daria was in Yearbook. “...Well, since you ask, I was kind of trying to get a high contrast of light and dark,” Daria explained.
“Neat! You must read a lot of Ovid. I read Orpheus in the Underworld when I was six, and it still haunts me,” Ted said.
“Uh, me too.”
“You know, I had to talk my parents into going to a normal school.”
“When do you start?” Daria asked. She didn't really consider Lawndale High to be 'normal'.
Ted laughed. “Irony! But I like it here. I only wish that volunteerign or charity fundraising got as much yearbook space as sports and clubs.”

Excerpt from: Doctor Who – A Note
A Note
The Doctor entered the console room. The TARDIS was about to land. However, he stopped when he noticed a note attached to the hatstand. First he ensured that the TARDIS did land properly and then went to read it. He knew it was her immediately, with her messy handwriting. His other companion had much neater writing.

"You are now free to go to your first class. History, I believe."
"Thanks, Ms. Li."
Daria-Brittany (Brittaia?) left the Principal's office. On the way to the history class room, she saw many other people in the hallways. She could tell that they were all looking at her. There was a lot different about the person they presumed to be the Brittany Taylor they knew. She wasn't wearing the cheerleader uniform for one thing, just loose fitting clothes that shared the Lawndale High colors. In addition, she wore her hair down. It was longer than she was used to but she didn't want to cut it - yet.

“Relax, Stacy,” Quinn said. “As I said, we're walking.”
Stacy breathed a sigh of relief. That was one aspect of the day that hadn't been planned. Or rather, they hadn't planned for the fact that Jennifer would drive Jane to the Morgendorffers, and thus have her car there.
“We're walking too,” Daria said.
“Really?” Jane asked, still tired.
“Yes!” Daria projected.
“I'm driving home, then I'll join you on the way to school,” Jennifer put in.
“Sure,” Jane said. She could deal with it, but she wouldn't be enjoying it too much.
Soon they left, Jennifer driving off first, and the four gamer girls taking on the attitude of a Dungeons and Dragons quest party. “This is the town of Lawndale. A boring little place,” Quinn began. “But it's infintely better than Highland back in Texas. That was a more interesting place, but I wanted to get out of there!” she added theatrically.
Daria sighed. “You recording?” she asked Jane.
“You bet, ya!” Jane said. “Although it is hard to walk along and film at the same time. We need one of those new fangled digital camcorders. We're also be using a lot of tape.”
“Don't worry. I have all the tapes. That should be enough for the whole day,” Daria said.
“Glen Oaks Lane, a rather normal street,” Kristen said.
“Of course it is,” Daria snarked.
“But is it hiding anything?” Stacy asked.
“Everyone has their secrets,” Cindy added.
“Relax, Daria. They're goading,” Jane said.
“I know,” Daria said quietly.
Fifteen minutes later, halfway to the school, Jennifer met them at a corner. She looked at Daria. “I see that they are succeeding at annoying you,” she said.
“Yes!” Daria said. “They are going on about inane stuff.”
“I see that you're not into the games that they're into,” Jennifer said.
“When it's not games, it's anime,” Jane said.
Jennifer laughed. “I see.”
Daria grumbled.
“What do you see Cindy?” Quinn asked.
Cindy held a small pair of binoculars to her eyes. “I see the Big Strawberry,” she said.
“Ah yes... That was a good weekend,” Quinn said.
“Now she;s going to go on about Ethan!” Daria complained.
