“I can explain why we were doing what we're doing,” Daniel said.
“I'm sure he would anticipate your answer.”
“True, but he will help us retake Kathiannah. Maintain pursuit course.”
Voyager
Voyager exited the wormhole, and just in time.
“The wormhole is changing position,” Kim reported.
“Mr. Paris, resume course for the Ixaroan Homeworld.”
“Aye, Captain.”
“I'll be in the ready room.”
Baxial
Neelix, Katelyn and Daniel were catching up with Kathiannah. “Tuvok is hailing again,” Katelyn reported.
“We may as well answer him,” Daniel said.
“Sure. This is Ensign Hawkins.”
“You disobeyed Captain Janeway's orders,” Tuvok stated.
“Yes, we admit that,” Katelyn said.
“But now we must plan how to re-take Kathiannah from the terrorists. As I am the ranking officer, I am in command.”
“No doubt about that,” Daniel said.
Tuvok raised an eyebrow, but didn't respond to his sarcasm. “We shall force the aft shields down. I can land in the shuttle bay while you dock.”
“We were planning on that,” Katelyn said.
“Two vessels would be better than one.”
Kathiannah
“The small ships are almost in weapons range.”
“Prepare to fire phasers,” the leader ordered.
“Aye.”
The two vessels together approached the small starship.
“We're about to enter weapons range. Need I remind you, that Kathiannah has a full weapons coverage.”
“I know that,” Neelix said.
“I'm well aware,” Daniel said.
“So am I,” Katelyn said as an alarm sounded. They had entered Kathiannah's weapons range.
“Prepare to open fire.”
Katelyn and Tuvok evaded the terrorists attempts at swatting them out of space, then opened fire.
“Aft sheilds down to 92%.”
“Evasive maneouvers,” the leader ordered. “Drop out of warp.”
“They're dropping out of warp,” Tuvok said.
“Dropping out of warp also,” Hawkins reported.
“Take my lead,” Tuvok reported.
“Aye,” Neelix said.

Daria and Jane had seen the whole thing. “You think it’s the end of the Fashion Club?” the latter asked.
“I doubt it,” Daria said. “As Sandi recognises it, maybe.”
The bell rang.
Helen finished looking over the case files for one of her latest clients. She got up and stretched before heading over to her assistant. “Marianne, could you get me Mr. Fields.”
“Sure, Helen,” Marianne Galway said.
Fields was a Private Investigator that Vitale, Davis, Horowitz, Riordan, Schrecter, Schrecter, and Schrecter had on retainer.
“He’ll be here in ten minutes.”
“Mrs. Morgendorffer?” Fields asked when he entered the office.
“Here,” Helen said as she stood up from her desk. “You can call me Helen.”
“What is the reason for your call? Mr. Vitale already has me trying to find out who SpiderGirl is.”
“Really?” Helen asked. She didn’t really want to know why the Senior Partner wanted to find out who that vigilante was, but was curious nonetheless.
“Yes, but she’s very elusive.”
“I see.”
“So, what is your request.”
Helen laid everything out about her guest.
“I’ll see what I can do,” Fields said after a moment of thinking.
“Thanks,” Helen said.
As they entered the cafeteria, Quinn, Stacy and Tiffany saw Sandi waiting for them at their usual table.
“Let’s get it over with,” Quinn said.

Excerpt from: A Fellowship of 10
Frodo stirred, as he felt that he must break the silence: he longed to shout aloud.
“Hush!” Strider said in a whisper.
“What’s that?” Pippin gasped at the same moment.
Shadows appeared over the lip of the dell. They all strained their eyes and saw the shadows growing. There was no doubt. There were three or four tall black figures were standing there on the slope.
Pippin, Merry and Hanna were terrified and threw themselves on the ground. Sam shrank to Frodo’s side. Frodo was hardly less terrified than his companions; he was quaking as if he was bitter cold, but his terror was swallowed up in a sudden temptation to put on the Ring. The desire to do this laid hold of him, and he could think of nothing else.
He did not forget the Barrow, nor the message of Gandalf; but something seemed to be compelling him to disregard all warnings, and he longed to yield. Not with the hope of escape, or of doing anything, either good or bad: he simply felt that he must take the Ring and put it on his finger. He felt Sam looking at him, as if he knew that his master was in some great trouble, but he could not turn towards him.
He shut his eyes and struggled for a while; but resistance became unbearable, and at last he slowly drew out the chain, and slipped the Ring on the forefinger of his left hand.
Frodo vanished. Aragorn knew that he had given into temptation. The Ringwraiths came closer, although one hesitated. One other stepped forwards and there came a cry of O Elbereth! Gilthoniel! Followed by another, shriller, cry. He leapt in that direction with flaming brands in both hands.
Chapter II: Flight to the Ford
Weathertop
“What has happened? Where is the pale king?” Frodo asked.
The others didn’t understand what he was asking.
