The Black Lodge try to keep control of the situation in the United States as the situation continues to get out of control and more states find themselves under martial law. Even in other states, there are increasing protests against the economic situation, including demands for more welfare.

The popularity of Wicca grows in the New England States.

There is a large presence of security forces at Nixon’s Inauguration.

The guerrilla forces of the Republic of New Africa and the Federation of Dixie would continue to fight against the Union, and each other.

A group of Mages fight Golems on the Observation Platform of the Empire State Building in mid May.

In Atlanta in July, the Feanorian Star Political Party is established by a Mage named Veronica Peters. The Party’s manifesto calls for ‘radical revolution’ for Mages and Neo-Pagans…

In late July, a protest by Mages in Atlanta goes awry when some buildings collapse. This leads to a harsher crackdown on dissent in Georgia.

In early October, Zombies are sighted in Pittsburgh.

More Mothman sightings in West Virginia in mid November. (Spreading to Ohio, in mid December.)

In late December, riots occur in Columbus, Ohio, after police brutality against suspected Mages is brought to light.
On December 22nd, Mages in Minneapolis hold a ‘Solstice sit-in’.

By the end of the year, some sort of relations are established with the Sasquatch.

The War between the Mexican Federation and the Vampire Republic continues.


Caribbean
Through the year, the Duvailer Regime would conduct purges of suspected communists…

In October, Haiti claims credit for the Zombies in Pittsburgh.


South America
The conflicts in Peru would continue.

The same in Bolivia.

The Japanese influence in Brazil would increase. More colonists arrive in Sao Paulo. The Empire of Brazil Government agrees to look the other way, despite minorities in the Congress voicing their disapproval. (Along with demonstrations, etc).

The same is true of the Rio Grande Republic.


Europe
United Kingdom
The Troubles continue.

Parliament discusses devolution for Scotland, Wales and Cornwall, but the situation remains unresolved at the end of the year.

A smaller ring of stones appears near Stonehenge in early January. The Royal Knights are deployed and they see a portal open two days later. Nothing comes through, yet.

In mid-July, the Royal Knights thwart a plot to take over London using autonomous tanks.

In August, a mysterious mist appears in the London Underground. People start disappearing. The Royal Knights eventually dissipate the strange mist, but the vanished people aren't found.

A second portal appears near Stonehenge in October.


Scandinavia
The situation between the Human nations and the Troll Nation remains tense.

Soviet Union
The situation would remain stable, despite the presence of pro-Tsarists.


Africa
The West African Federation remains stable. There is talk of intervention in Guinea (but such voices are few).

The Kenya conflicts continue.

Babylon pushes into Iran.

East Bengal continues to fight for independence against Pakistan.

They continue to benefit from their interactions with the Mu and Ceph. (And the neocolonialism in Brazil.)

Refugees continue to flood into Sydney and Melbourne, exacerbating the existing housing crisis… (The same is true of Brisbane, Newcastle, Wollongong, Canberra, Gelong, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin.)

In mid March, a Mage calling herself ‘Tanielle’ in Wollongong, New South Wales calls for a homeland for Mages and Neopagans.


Antarctica
A hibernating kaiju is found near the South Pole.
