Rewatch. A follow up to the storyline of the previous film. The Enterprise crew returns to Earth with a damaged ship and a missing crewmate and friend. But all is not as it seems. The Genesis Planet plays a major role in the plot. The role the Klingons play in the film was also done rather well. The climax is rather good, with the crescendo of the Enterprise self-destructing. The re-fusion ceremony on Vulcan is an interesting way to leave an ending open. 8/10.
