The Cascadian advance in Alaska stalls as the extended supply lines start to fail, due to the Canadians bombing them. Thus they begin to retreat (fully intending to advance again, but they will fail to get as far again).

Similarly, the Dakotans have similar issues as they go further into the tundra. An especially cold winter doesn't help matters either, and they are forced to withdraw southwards a week before Christmas.

The Great Lakes attempt at encircling the Canadian forces in north-western Quebec fails, and their advance also fails. Over extended, they start to fall back.

Cascadian attempts at landing further south on the Californian coast fail, as the Navy send most of the troop ships to the bottom...

Heidler looked over the latest proposal from the armed forces. He then read it a second time as he kept the 'Army Strategists' waiting. “Are you crazy?” he asked rhetorically. “This 'Operation Sealion' will never succeed. Our spies have told us that the defenses in England are too great for us to defeat any time soon. Any attempt to establish a beachhead would be defeated in days.”

“But...”

“But what? Plans are already in place to invade Norway. Once that is done, the United Kingdom can be forced out of the War in Europe.” He grabbed the folder containing the plans in a threatening manner. “Now get out!” Cowed, the strategists ran out of the office. He then turned his attention back to the message he had been given by the Great Lakes Ambassador earlier that morning. It looked like the True Union's fortunes were changing. It was clear to him that they had gone too far too fast. 'Blitzkrieg should have been discredited in the last war,' he thought.
