Genesis 12:1 - 9
Vs 1
God asks Abram to leave home
- then to leave family...
- It's now more personal!
The destination is unknown. God didn't tell Abram where the Promised Land was.
We need to have faith like Abram.
If God asks us to do something we should respond.
Vs 2
God makes promises to Abram after he has responded in faith.
vs 7
God extends the promise.
- Abram's decendents shall have the land.
All of God's promises are forfilled.
If God has called you to do something. He will equip you for it.
vs 8
Abram's response - to worship God!
Remember what God has done for you.
Be willing to leave behind what He wants you to leave behind.
