“So, each time it was an anomaly in the TARDIS structure?” the Doctor asked.
“Yes, every time,” Felicia confirmed.
“But I wouldn't know where to begin in trying to return you to your version of the TARDIS.”

Excerpt from: Doctor Who – Discovering Oneself
The TARDIS landed. But his companions weren't in the console room. “Where are they?” the Doctor wondered. Both of them were usually tardy when they arrived somewhere. 'They'll be here soon.'
Elsewhere, one of the companions was running through the corridors. Somehow she knew that the TARDIS had landed. (There was no reasonable explanation as to how she knew the ship had arrived at their destination.) 'I wonder what we are going to discover this time?'
