56. No Time To Die
The latest in the James Bond movie franchise, based on the novels by Ian Fleming (albeit not on any particular novel). A retired James Bond is brought back into the fold at MI6 after he discovers a threat to civilization. (A recurring theme through the various films.) The cold open depicting a defining moment from Madelaine Swans childhood was appropriately chilling, and lead to payoffs later in the film. A sequence with an inexperienced CIA agent in Cuba was also enjoyable. Overall, the film was very good. Certainly, one of the best of the recent films.
Even with a bittersweet ending. 8.91/10.
