39. The Cat Returns
Rewatch. Yoshioka Haru finds herself in an unexpected situation after rescuing a cat from oncoming traffic. Definitely an interesting storyline. The art is as good as most other Ghibli films. But the story is also good. Haru’s experiences were well realized, as was the character of Baron Humbert von Grikkingen. 9.1/10.

The knocking was what woke Jane up. ‘Who could that be?’ she wondered as she slipped out of bed.

She slipped on her dressing gown over her bedclothes and headed downstairs.


She opened the door. She saw her friend, “Daria, don’t you know what time it is?”

“Time to find an activity for the summer!” Daria said.

Jane knew what she meant. “Your mother gave you an ultimatum, didn’t she?” she asked with a smirk.

“You know me too well,” Daria said.

“Come on in, after I get a Coffee you can explain your plans.”

“Sure.”
