'The Woman at the Well'
We all have different perspectives.
The Jews and the Samaritan - they existed in a state of hostility.
Jews walked around Samaria to reject opportunities of meeting Samaritan.
But Jesus didn't, thus He meet this woman.
The woman had a great sense of rejection.
We have to be prepared to share the gospel with anyone despite any social barriers that may exist (race, education, gender, age...)
vs10 - 11
Psalm 36
Jesus gives us the life giving stream.
He tailored His message to the woman.
vs 16 - 10
Jesus points out her shortcomings in a way that results in personal growth. We need to see ourselves in the mirror our Saviour provides. This provides a sense of freedom.
She then shares the Good news with her town.
Which chair do you sit in today (Jesus' or the woman's)?

Kid's Talk
Philippians 4:6 - 8
If you're worried, pray. You'll know His peace.
John 5:1 - 15
'Healing the sick'
They were putting their hopes in something empty. Was there something worthy about the man?
It is about Jesus' Grace!
The man - represents people in hopeless situations.
Any belief system that doesn't include Jesus is hopeless.
No matter the situation you can minister to them through Jesus.
vs 6
Phil 4:8
Contemplating positive things points us in the direction of faith.
Repentance and belief is essential.
Jesus needs to direct us to things that need to be repented from, things that need to be changed.
vs 14
It was an ongoing sin, Jesus was warning him about.
Do you want change?
It needs to be in the context of Jesus' lordship.
Titus 2:11 - 14

Prayer - a Baptist Church in the ACT that had their building burn down.
John 6
vs 26, 27
Jesus knew that they were following Him just to see mere miracles. That they were missing the point.
vs36
'I am the Bread of Life'
What we need is Him.
He isn't here to just improve your life, He is here to Be your life.
Christ is enough
vs 43 - 58
vs 51
Jesus says that His death on the Cross is that fulfills our need for salvation.
vs 53 - 56
'Eat Me'
It's symbolic of what our relationship with Him should be like.
vs 40, vs 54
Our belief should be a zeal for Him.
vs 56
You are what you eat. If you are believing in Him, dig deeper!

John 7:1 - 9, 37 - 44
Clashes of World views
vs 7
Two Camps - The World vs Jesus
gr. cosmos - world, structure, system
The whole system is against God.
This is why worldliness is destruction.
Worldliness - unthinklingly accepting values without taking God's word into account.
Jesus confronted people about their behaviours, but He did it in a way that affirmed the person. Most of them followed Him.
Psalm 113 - 118
vs 37 - 39
Living water, as he had said to the Samaritan woman.
"Come to me and recieve life giving Spirit."
We have recieved power from the Spirit
The answer is from God. (Not politics)
The power of the Spirit is the answer to the world's problems.
Zechariah 4:6
How is the Holy Spirit practical for you?
