Psalm 1
Two kinds of people
- People who are influenced by the Word of God
- People who are infliuenced by something else
- Which group do you belong to?
Have Christians as a group as a group become more materialistic over the past few decades?
The Psalm is pointing out that we need to choose what influences our thinking.
Meditation - Reading, and then, pondering.
- Don't just read the Bible, apply it!
We must not imitate the behaviour of non-believers

Joshua 1:8

If your roots are in God's Word you'll survive.
If you apply God's wisdom to your life, you'll be prosperous.
Chaff - Everything inconsequential will be blown away
Only 20% of Church-going people have a daily Bible reading habit.
