Then Louisa called. “It’s now a chocolate cake,” she said.

“That’s interesting,” Elias said.

“We have to go there,” Nicola said.

“Too much would be bad for you,” Elias said. “Careful that you don’t slip in the icing, Louisa.”

“I will be.”

“Good.”

“I wouldn’t eat that much,” Nicola grumbled.

“I’d eat less,” Quinn said.

“Of course,” Nicola said.

“Bye.”

“Bye.”

“We’re going there anyway,” Quinn said.

“Of course we are,” Elias said.


Jennifer was in the tunnel when the bread changed to a cake. ‘Please make up your mind!’ she thought. The icing was getting everywhere...


Tananda saw the change first. “Look, it’s become chocolate!” she said.

“Yum,” Jane said.

“Sure , we have looked through most of the school, we are about to look in the Ag plot,” Jennifer said.

“Kind of hard in the dark, wouldn’t it be?” Missy asked.

“There are floodlights there,” Quinn said. She was sure that there were such.

“I agree with Quinn,” Sandi said.

“I’m sure there are,” Jennifer said.

They went in the direction of the Ag plot.


Torii was still looking for the emerald between the Collins’ house and LHS. She didn’t care that Samara didn’t like her that much or that Marlene had her precious timeline to keep; she would get that emerald and then they would have to obey her, regardless of what the wider consequences would be...


At the Ogden’s house, Elias was still sleeping. Cindy and Jane were talking about each other’s experiences in the Distortion. “So you arrived at LHS?” Cindy asked.

“It was twenty past one and it was deserted,” Jane said. She then launched into a description of what happened at the school while she was there.
