Excerpt from: Mystery in Vancouver
“But where is it again?” Turlough asked.
“Vancouver, Canada,” the Doctor answered.
“Could be worse places,” Tegan commented.
“But why are we here?” Turlough asked.
“The usual reason,” the Doctor said. “There may be something here I need to deal with.”
“What do you know about this place?” Turlough asked Tegan as they walked through the park. “There’s what I learned at the school, but that only covers the basics.”
“I have been to Canada, but mostly in and out of Toronto Pearson,” Tegan answered. “That’s thousands of miles away.”
“Canada is the second largest nation on Earth at this time,” the Doctor said.
“So, I’ve only been in Ontario and Quebec,” Tegan said. “There may have been a layover in Halifax once.”
Excerpt from: Journey to the End
“I’m sure you know that not everyone returns from their Journey.”
“It’s not possible to not know that.”
“You will see when you come down to the Common Room that there is a lot to the world that the City doesn’t teach you. That most of Humanity is outside of it.”
Elenia thought about it as she went to her room on the second floor. ‘Most of Humanity outside the City.’ She wasn’t sure what to make of that. ‘Maybe more people stayed away after their Journey’s than I thought.’
She found the room easily and quickly unpacked.

But when she got there, she saw that there were a large number of students. ‘Ugh!’ she thought as her heart beat faster.
“May I help you?” a student with short electric blue hair asked.
“I was looking for someone.”
“What is her name?”
“I haven’t heard her name,” Olivia admitted. “Just that I heard that there is an outgoing creative synesthete.”
“Oh, you must mean Freya; she has made quite a splash already.”
“Freya,” Olivia considered. “Could you get her?”
“She’s just in there, somewhere.”
“There’s too many people.”
Xenia saw that this dark haired student was anxious. “I’ll find Freya for you.”
“Thanks.”
“Freya!”
Freya paused her painting, turned and opened her eyes. “Yes, Xenia?”
“There is someone asking for you.”
“Who is it?”
“She didn’t give her name,” Xenia admitted. “But it must be important.”
Excerpt from: Spider Quinn
She arrived at the mall five minutes later. When she swung onto the roof, she saw that she wasn’t alone, that another figure that she recognised as the Shadow was ready there, examining the roof with her equipment. “Hey, Shadow.”
“Yo, SpiderGirl! I see that I’m not the only one curious about that robot pterodactyl.”
“Obviously.”
“I was busy at home when it happened and only heard about it from my offsider later,” the Shadow explained.
“I was busy too.”
“Anders is annoying, making it seem that she assumes that we have nothing else to do.”
“I saw her show last night, but not tonight,” SpiderGirl said.
“She asked a question about Ninja Talon responding in her condition and Dafoanairi responding despite inexperience.”
“That’s not fair!”
“I know, and then she implied that Lawndale’s public want to know why you allowed them to respond like that,” the Shadow added.
“That’s not good! She’s riling some people up so they will demand the such an interview will happen!”
“So, what are you going to do about it?”
“I’m still not giving an interview,” SpiderGirl responded. “I don’t want to inadvertently say anything that will point to my secret identity! Either to Anders or to the school journalist.”
“I’m not either.”
“Anyway, let’s see what we can find.”
“Right behind you, Spidey.”
Down in the food court, evidence of the battle between Ninja Talon and Dafoanairi vs the robo-dactyl could be seen. Some of the kiosks were damaged and some of the support poles had dings in them.
