In between classes, Mr. O'Neill took Daria aside. 'Why me?' Daria wondered. “Yes?”

“I have noticed that Quinn and her friends have been acting weird while Ms. Lane and Ms. Burns were filming her. Is something wrong?”

“Nothing to be concerned about,” Daria answered bluntly.

“Oh dear!” O'Neill said in response to Daria's blunt response.

Daria changed tack. “Don't worry. It's more like, improvisational theatre,” she explained.

O'Neill relaxed. “That explains it then.”

And so between periods, the students of Lawndale High were treated with the entertainment of the 'Geeky Trio' acting like exaggerated versions of themselves. (Of course, only those students who shared the route they took saw the entertainment, but still more of the student body heard of it.)

Among those who heard of it was Tori Jericho. After leaving the Fashion Club she had stopped hanging around Sandi and had found other pursuits. She watched with interest as the three geeks performed for the Art Chick. “Interesting,” she murmured.

Lunch was different. Others from the freshman class were filming in the Cafeteria when Quinn and her two friends arrived. “Hey! It's the geek girl!” Sandi Griffin called out.

“Lay off, Sandi!” Quinn said. She lowered her voice. “Sandi plan three! Go!”

“Right!” Cindy said.

Sandi turned her back again.

“Sandi!” Kristen called out.

“What do you want, Kristen?” Sandi asked with a hard edge to her voice.

“Leave. Quinn. Alone!” Kristen said.

Sandi glared at Kristen. “Make me!” she said.

While this confrontation was happening, Quinn slipped away to the side, and took the camera from Cindy. She started filming the confrontation...

“Make me!” Sandi said, glaring at Kristen.

Kristen glared and said. “Ever since Quinn arrived in Lawndale, you've had it in for her!”

“Not, true!”

“Totally true!” Cindy put in, as she walked up beside Kristen.

“What ever, like, is between Quinn and I, is just between us!” Sandi objected.

“No it isn't,” Cindy said.

“Everyone knows you have it in for her!” Kristen added, driving her earlier point home.

“I don't have it in for her!” Sandi denied. She grabbed her food, turned on her heel and went to the far end of the cafeteria where she joined Tiffany.

“That's over, for now,” Kristen quipped.

“Yes, it is,” Cindy said.

Quinn came over. “That was good.”

“But are we going to use it?” Cindy asked.

“Probably,” Quinn said. “I'll need to talk to Mom.”

“Sure,” Kristen added.

The rest of the day went by without incident, although many thought that the trio were being somewhat weird.

Daria and Jane met Quinn and her friends as school let out. “Where are we going now?” Jane asked.

“To my place for most of the afternoon,” Cindy answered.

“OK,” Jane responded.

They soon arrived at the Robinson-Brolsma residence where Cindy and her friends continued to act for the camera. Not much happened there, as they were only there a short while. They then left to spend the rest of the evening at the Leung-Bell's.

However, something unexpected came up. “What are you doing?” Kristen's mother, Krista Bell, asked.

“We're filming Quinn and her friends for a school project,” Jane explained.

“Really?” Krista asked.

“Yes,” Daria answered.

“And what is the purpose of this project?” Krista asked, hands on her hips.

“A documentary,” Jane answered.

“On Quinn?” Krista asked with a suspicious tone.

“Yes,” Daria answered.

Krista stared at Daria before saying, “Quinn has told me that you two don't get along.”

“Whatever she said...” Daria began.

But Krista interrupted her. “I wasn't finished. I don't want to be part of some vindictive project.”

“It's not vindictive!” Jane exclaimed.

“Maybe not on your part,” Krista interjected, “But I'm certain it is on Daria's. Therefore, she's not allowed to come in.”

“Whatever you may have heard from Quinn, I'm certain it's biased,” Daria said.

“I think I can trust her. I trust Kristen's assessment of her, and of you.”

“I see.”

“Kristen has seen that you and Quinn are quite antagonistic towards each other,” Krista said. “You are not coming in.

Daria sighed. She knew that to argue further would be pointless. “I'm going,” she said. “See you later, Jane.”

Jane watched as Daria walked away until she was hidden by the vegetation in the front yard. She then turned back to Krista. “Can I come in? Or will I follow Daria?”

“You can come in,” Krista said.

“Cool,” Jane said although she wasn't sure going in without Daria was a good idea. 'Maybe I'll try to portray Quinn in a positive light,' she thought.

Jane sat in a corner and began sketching.

“Hey,” a guy said.

“Hi, I'm Jane.”

“Keith.”

“You're a senior, right?”

“Yes.”

“So, I suppose you would be going to College?” Jane asked.

“Of course.”

Jennifer took Krista aside. “Did you have to do that?” she asked.

“Yes.”

“Because of what Quinn and Kristen said about her?”

“As I told Daria, I trust my daughter, and Quinn.”

“I see.”

“Don't worry. This is a safe area of Lawndale.”
