He was observing them, seeing which new student would best suit the needs of the organisation that he was a member of.

Nor was Sandy

But not for long, Sandy, Vic and Tristan approached the class room from the opposite direction. Sandy brandished a copy of the HighUp! that he had taken off an unfortunate cheerleader. He marched up to Stevie, opened the paper to the poem and asked. “Ste-vie! What is meaning of this?”

Stevie stammered. “Ms. Ms. Fitzpatrick put it in. I didn't.”

“School isn't a prison! It's an opportunity!

“What kind of opportunity? To drag others down?” Quinn asked.

“Stacy out of this, Brockledork!” Sandy said.

“It depends on one's point of view,” Stevie said quietly.

“I see. However, you failed, like, to stop Ms. Fitzpatrick putting the essay in the paper. I'm putting you on sabbattical from the Cadet Club!”

“No Sandy, no!” Stevie begged.

Sandy roughly pushed him away.

“Leave him alone!” Quinn called. He stepped next to Stevie and helped him out.

“Stay out of this, Brockledork!” Sandy said, staring in Quinn's eyes.

“No!”

Sandy stepped forwards, and pushed Quinn away. Quinn pushed that. It was then that Sandy pulled a punch, and sent Quinn spawling.

“Uh oh!' Vic thought, as Quinn stood up again. He got ready to pull Sandy back if need be.

Quinn then rushed at Sandy. “How dare you!” He said, as he slapped Sandy across the face, using less force than was used against him.

Quinn launched into a description of her day. “Then they asked me to join the pep squad. They said I didn't have to try out, but I said, 'Look, I'm new here. Give me a chance to get used to things.' I met a couple of other girls, Stacy and Tiffany, we're going to look into forming some kind of club to talk about Fashion, or something like that.”

“Sound's like a well thought out descision, honey,” her father, Jake, said.
