- The Lord says that He will help him.
You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.

Exodus 7 - 10
The Plagues
Pharoah: Who is the LORD that I should obey His voice?
- I don't care who He is.
The Plagues come - They demonstrated God's power
- In judgement on Pharoah.
1st Plague - Blood
Was Pharoah worshiping the river?
An affront to the Egyptian Belief System
2nd Plague - Frogs
Symbol of Fertility
Also worshipped by the Egyptians
3rd Plague - Lice, gnats, mosquitoes or sandflies
The magicians could not make them - It was beyond their power.
- They recognised that God was at work!
4th Plague - Flies
Another affront - the flies filled the land, except where the Israelites lived.
If Pharoah conceded to God - His power would be diminished.
5th Plague - Livestock Dead
Another blow against the Egyptian gods
6th Plague - Boils!
God hardens Pharoah's heart.
7th Plague - Hail
Pharoah weakened
8th Plague - Locusts
9th Plague - Darkness
Pharoah represented the sun god, Ra.
The Darkness defeated the sun god!
Exodus 20:8
What does it mean to you to keep the Sabbath?
The hardening of the heart
Free will
All choices have consequences
To begin with - Pharoah hardened his heart
- He was unrepentant
Romans 1
God confirmed Pharoah's choice.
- His officials saw a way out - but he didn't.
Reject hard hearted-ness!
- Have a soft heart!
