Death in the Field

Peta Lawson arrived at the next location of the survey first. It was early in the day, but then she had always been an early riser. She opened the back of the car. Everything was there. Field microscopes and drift nets, amongst other stuff. First, she grabbed a DSLR camera. It was always good to take photos of the site before it was disturbed by investigating scientists, no matter how careful they were.
Peta had taken a few photos from where they would enter the site, when her phone rang. “Gosh!” She exclaimed as she took it out of her handbag. “Hello?”
“Ms. Lawson? I have good news.”
“Bradley?” Peta said. “You know you can call me Peta, right.”
