There is one thing that those who have travelled with the Doctor agree upon when describing their travels. The sense of wonder associated with travelling through time and space with the Time Lord.

Diana and the TARDIS
“Wait...” Diana Peters said as she followed the Doctor into the blue box. She heard the doors close behind her. “It's bigger on the inside?”
“Yes,” the Doctor answered as he approached some kind of console in the middle of the impossibly large room. “This is the TARDIS. Time and Relative Dimension in Space.”
“Wow,” Diana said.
“It can travel throughout time and space,” the Doctor added.
Diana walked up to the console. “Wait, if you're alien, why do you sound Scottish?”
“Long story,” the Doctor answered as he swung a screen around. It showed the situation outside the TARDIS. It seemed that they were surrounded. “But we still need to deal with those.”
“Right,” Diana said. She had briefly forgotten them, with the wonder of the TARDIS.
