Pavan Xhobe College, New Yorkshire University, York, Yorkshire, Australia
Elysia Stanton looked at the college. It looked rather large. 'Of course it's large,' she thought.
“To the office first?” her father asked.
“Yes,” she answered. She waited as her mother got her baby brother out of the car.
Soon, they entered the College and came to the office. “Stanton, Elysia.”
“They're meeting new arrivals in the Dining Hall,” the man in the office said.
“Thanks,” Elysia said.
They entered the Dining Hall and found one of the O'Week Committee there. “Hello,” the young man said.
“Hi, I'm Elysia Stanton.”
“Lindsay,” he said, indicating himself.
“Lindsay,” Elysia repeated.
“Yes.”
“OK.”
“Stanton, Elysia,” Lindsay said as he looked at the list of names. He found it. “Here we are, Block 3, Room 9.”
“Cool,” Elysia said.
Lindsay gave her the room key. “Let me show you where it is.”
Elysia nodded.
To get to Block 3, they exited the Dining Hall out the way they came, and passed the office, and exited the office out a door opposite to the entry to the college that they had used earlier. “We'll go through Block 2 first,” Lindsay said.
“Sure,” Elysia said.
They entered Block 2. They walked along the first corridor and then went out through a common room into a courtyard. “There's Block 3, right there,” Lindsay said, pointing to the Block ahead and to the left.
“Right,” Elysia said.
Lindsay lead the way to Block 3.
“Here it is, room 9,” Lindsay said.
“Cool,” Elysia said. She put the key in the door and opened it. She went inside and looked around. “This is fairly large,” she said.
“This is the size of all other rooms in the College,” Lindsay said.
“Cool!” Elysia said.
“Yes, it is. Now I can help you unpack.”
“That would be good,” Elysia said. “Thanks.”
It took twenty minutes to get all of Elysia's stuff out of the car. “Thanks for the help,” Elysia said to Lindsay.
“You're welcome,” Lindsay said.
While they were still unpacking, and Elysia was reading a booklet on the College, there was a knock on the door. Elysia opened it. “Hi,” she said.
“Elysia Stanton?”
“That's me.”
“I'm Frida Cameron, your Resident Assistant.”
Elysia put the booklet down. “Hi, Frida.”
“If you need help, you can come to me,” Frida said.
“Sure, thanks,” Elysia said.
“Anytime,” Frida said.
Elysia and her parents talked to Frida a little more about what a RA did.
