18. End of Dystopia - 1984 World War Map Game -
2001
North America
Oceanian rule breaks down in more areas of the region formerly known as the United States in earlier times.
This includes the region around Boston. The rebels there proclaim the New England Federation. (More of a warlord state really)
This also includes a region of Texas. This warlord state calls itself the Republic of Texas.
The Wrongthinkers expand.
South America
Oceania maintains its hold here...
Europe
Oceania maintains its hold on Airstrip One. (Large numbers of people do find themselves in Room 101 however...)
The True Proletariat expands. They gain sea access but their attempts to take Bornholme fail.
A rebellion based in Instanbul proclaims the Instanbul Union. Of course Eurasia isn't going to take the loss of such a strategic location lying down. The position is under constant attack. (Nuclear attack is out of the question, How would the ships based at ports in the Black Sea get out then?)
Africa
Control by both superstates breaks down in the Sahara...
Comrade Vladimir gains more territory. His 'state' expands down the Nile and along the coast. He proclaims Alexandria his capital...
Asia
Eastasia gains at Eurasian and Oceanian expense.
The Instanbul gains some Anatolian land...
Comrade Josef gains control of Mecca and Medina. He then proclaims Jihad against Eurasia...
Australasia – Pacific
Oceania maintains control. However, rebellion is stirring in New Zealand...
