She hadn't been to the church since before Christmas, as she had been home with her family for nearly all the school holidays. She looked and saw that two of her friends were there. She sat down in the pew next to one of them, Leo. “Hi, Leo,” she said.

“Hi, Becca,” Leo said. “How are you?”

“I'm well. I'm ready to start back at work. And you?”

“I'm well. I have found a second job, so that's good.”

“That is good news,” Becca considered. She remembered that Leo had been looking for a permanent job for a while.

“So, Christmas was good?” her other friend, Jonathan, asked.

“Yes, it was good to catch up after a year away,” Becca answered. “I didn't realise how much I had missed them.”

It was then that the countdown video finished, and the worship team went up on stage. “Welcome to Lachlanville Baptist Church. It has been rather long holiday break, hasn't it?” she paused.
“Are you ready to get into 2017? However, your break was, you can thank God that you are here now, and ready to worship and serve Him this year!” That then lead into the first song, Same Power.
