Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 review
The second film based on the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, set a few months after the first film. It is certainly an interesting film, if rather comedic in places. After a job goes bad (due to Rocket's thieving proclivities), Quill meets his father, Ego. However, there is more to Ego than there appears to be. That is not the only plotline, there are side plots, that are related to the main plot of which the father-son relationship focuses on. For instance, the sacrifice – redemption plotline for Yondu is rather well done.
The revelation of what Ego is up to, and what that means for Peter, is one of the aspects to the film that make it better than it could have been (if Ego's motivation had been something else). I recommend this film highly. 7.65/10.
