Captain America Civil War review
On Saturday, I went to see this film with several friends. We had a good time.
22 Captain America Civil War
A Marvel film. The third film in the Captain America series. Following on from Avengers Age of Ultron. The events in previous film carry over into this film, in that the events of that film have soured the international community on the concept of the Avengers as non-state actors in an increasingly unstable world. The plot of this film is kicked off when an operation in an African country goes awry with innocent bystanders being killed as a result of collateral damage. Thus kicks in another plot-line – the way the United Nations wants to put the Avengers under their control.
Each of the characters are put through the proverbial wringer as events follow from an attack on an UN meeting place. Tony Stark goes one way and Steve Rogers goes another. In the middle of all the politics is 'Bucky' Barnes, who may not be in control of his actions... The split between Stark's view and that of Rogers splits the Avengers into two camps, about whether to go along with the UN plan or to continue to go it alone. A very interesting take on the premise. 9.5/10.
