Aurora is in the Allies during World War Two. There are Nazi air raids on the eastern islands, but the nation otherwise comes through unscathed.
Late April 1945
The Allies capture Berlin. (East Germany would be rather small, and the Iron Curtain falls further east.)
August 1945
Hiroshima and Nagasaki are bombed at the same times as in our timeline.
