Excerpt from: Galactic Journeys

Chapter 68: Lawnton and Sandy Griffith's Genie

Jared, Daniel, Elysia, John, Louis, Nickolas, Quinn and Stephen were a block and a half behind them. They were having no further luck. “Are you sure it's near here?” Elysia asked John.

“Yes,” John answered.

“We'll just keep looking then,” Elysia said.

Quinn came up to her.

“Yes, Quinn?”

“A few of the kids in this street have reported that several of the families whose houses are underneath the pile have called their parents saying that their rooves are starting to collapse,” he said in a slight panic.

Elysia took this in. “That's not good, Quinn. We'll have to hurry.”

“I agree,” Quinn said.

“Go and get Jared, Daniel and Stephen,” she said.

“Um, sure,” Quinn said.


Back at the Lane's place, they had figured out where to search next. Darian, Treana and Maxine left the the direction of the Brocklethwaite's house.

Meanwhile, Stevie and Timothy started calling other popular students at Lawnton High, to see if they had heard anything.


In a mansion in Crewes, a former model answerd the phone. “Hi, you have reached the Taylor's, Ambros-Ashley here.”
“Hi, Ambros-Ashley,” Stevie began. “Is Brent there?”

Ambros-Ashley thought. He knew that his step-son wasn't there. “I haven't seen him since last night,” he answered.

“I see,” Stevie said. “I'll call back later.”


Chapter 69: Another Beginning

“Let's search here,” Jenson suggested.

“Certainly,” Louis said.

The group including, Kelly, began to search the area.


Chip awoke. The dream that he had just had were weird. He leapt out of bed and ran to one of the portals. 'Maybe there is something, helpful, somewhere in that place,' he thought. He then ran into the portal.


Destiny
Phillipa entered the Bridge. “Report,” she ordered.

Her younger sister, Peta, who was acting as the Tactical Officer responded. “There is nothing to report, there has been no unusual activity.”

“Thanks,” Phillpa said as she went to the ready room.


Lawnton
Scott didn't find any further evidence of Mattea's travels.


Chapter 70: Tuesday Adventures

“Where is it?” Jason asked.

“In the North Agad Fruit Market,” John answered.

“Let's go,” Anakin decided.


However, in the fruit market, James Lane found the Opal!
“Wow!” He said. He considered what to do. “I wish I knew where Elysia Howarth and Darian Brocklethwaite are.”

“Elysia Howarth is at 29 Kay Street. The residence of Seamus Ogden, in other words. Darian Brocklethwaite is somewhere in Lawnton High School,” came John's voice from the PA system.

“Who?” James asked.

“You may know him as Chipmunk or Chip,” John said in a tone that reminded James of Darian.


Chapter 72: Slumber Party

He got up and got dressed.

Once dressed he left his room. He could hear her parents in his sister's room, saying Happy Birthday.


Chapter 73: Brocklethwaites on the Titanic

“We'll go to James' first,” Cody decided.

“Sure,” Quinn said.

112 Howard Street
James was mixing coffee in the kitchen when he heard a strange sound in the lounge room. He went to investigate and found Darian, Quinn and Cody. “How did you get in here?” He asked. “I'm sure that the doors are locked.”

“Time machine,” Cody said, pointing at the vehicle behind him.

“That's impossible,” James said.

“Obviously it's not,” Darian said.

“Wow!” James said as the situation sank in.

“So you want to come with us?” Cody asked.

“Where are we going?” James asked.

“We haven't decided yet,” Darian said.

“I see,” James said. He had some ideas.

“We're going to Stevie's next,” Quinn said.

“Sure,” Jane said.

“You have the Bridge, Annie,” Daniel said. “I will be in the secondary recreation room.”
