Psalm 93
'Light of the World'
Isaiah 10:33 - 11:11
Isaiah pictured the Assyrian army as a forest - very large, very dangerous.
- But he has hope that the LORD will rescue him.
- The LORD deals with the forest/army.
What do you have worry about in 2015?
- God can deal with our problems!
1 Peter 5:7
God is there to help and guide.
The Cross is the ultimate answer, the ultimate hope.
Jesus has already defeated His enemies.
Our anxieties are temporary.
Isaiah 11:1
Jesus is our green shoot. All our hope and expectations are in Him.
People face loss
- Sin caused the loss of the Pre-Fall world.
God has a restoration planned.
- Justice
- Peace
- Wholeness
verses 6 - 9
Describes the world after the Second Coming.
Isaiah 12
'Nothing but the Blood'
Communion - It is what it symbolises tht is important.
- We have the absolute freedom to come into God's Presence.
We are abundantly free.
Jesus took us back into relationship with the Father.

Psalm 116
The Psalmist had nearly died but God had rescued him.
All other hopes weren't available, so he went to God.
God is dependable.

He wants to meet our needs

Jesus initiates relationships with people.
"Come follow me"
- James and John responded immediately.
Psalm 139:13 - 16
God is at work, continually drawing people to Himself.
The fishermen made a radical decision that changed their lives forever.
Jesus empowers and equips people:
"And I will make you fishers of men."
Being a light in the darkness is not optional.

We don't have to do it alone.
God calls us into community.

Missed Opportunities
Some missed opportunities may never come again.
