Chapter 49

Americas
The Communists capture Providence, Rhode Island. The Rhode Island Provincial government flees...
Guerillas penetrate northwards in Hudson province...

The Order Party of Kansas looses hard in municipal elections across the nation. Where most mayors were OPK members, now there are none...

Ecotopian forces defeat the Hardingist rebels in Nevada after a protracted seige of Las Vegas...

The Civil War continues in Costa Rica. Refugees continue to flow into Panama. (Where the linguistic rato is 6: English/5: Spanish by the end of the year...)


Africa
Ivorian Rebels capture more land from the People's Republic of Guinea in the north of their claimed territory.
A pocket of Monarchists (who failed to gain Commonwealth recognition) is defeated.

The People's Republic of Somalia looses its remaining coastline. The Pro-Sultanate guerillas gain at their expense...


Asia
The 'Chaos of Tibet' continues. The People's Liberation Army reaches the far western areas of the chaotic region.

The United Kingdom's nuclear monopoly within the Commonwealth is broken when India tests a nuclear device in Rajastan on the 14th of May. This is later followed by a Pakistani test on the 19th of November.


Pacific
A massive change occurs. For some years there had been increasing tensions in the Commonwealth's largest nation by area; The Commonwealth of Australia-Pacifica (Sometimes called Aus-Pac, but most of the time called either Australia or Pacifica).
Over the decades since its founding there had been a trend by the Federal Government in Canberra to focus more and more on the Australian mainland and the islands closer to it. The tensions finally threaten to break out into voilence in some areas of the Pacific.


Chapter 50: First Day of Summer

Fifteen minutes later, they left the Lawnton Mall, to head to Main Street. Sandy followed behind the other three with a surly expression. He was glaring as Quinn lead the way. 'Where did I go wrong?' he asked himself, not for the first time.


Soon, they arrived in Main Street.

Excerpt from: Tenerife Island Map Game

February 25th, Day 55
New ISOTs

- Cinderella, the four mice, Bruno and her horse. They had just escaped from the Castle Ball after midnight. They appear with the pumpkin that had been the carriage (and the remaining glass slipper) just outside Hartfield. (Cinderella, 1950).
- The Eureka Stockade from 30th November 1854. It appears just to the north of the Armory.
- Two friends, Feirellyne Ellarinn and Eugene Doggett, in their early twenties. from a world with 18th Century technology. They had just left Feirellyne's house, to walk to the local library. The appear just outside the Jollyton Library.



Events

Onieda-Armory sees the new arrival (the Eureka Stockade) nearby. Team Gurren investigate.
The striking miners are surprised by their new surroundings. They are thankful that the Victorian forces had gone, but what they learn about the nature of their new location from Team Gurren frightens them.

Doc Brown continues his experiments.

Unfortunately for Wolverine, he is completely corrupted by the End by sunset. His howling continues, and louder for the rest of the day.
The End Dragon continues to bide his time, waiting for the other forces on Tenerife to weaken themselves.

Teddy makes his decision. He decides that he and he alone will open the Ark of the Covenant, everyone else must close their eyes, when what goes down does go down. Given the lack of choice, all the other survivors agree.
Ferelli sends a message to the attackers. They will not surrender. She then retreats to a corner with other survivors and waits.
As the attackers teleport theanimatronics, End-beings and zombies into the Alamo, Teddy opens the Ark...
Teddy himself, and the animattronics, End-beings and zombies present are destroyed by the forces of the Ark. The avenging angels continue up the hill taking out most of the Changelings, Orks, Fossil-cultists and Radicalised PRT members.
Result: Gorgutz himself is a victim so the survivors of the WAAHG! flee northwards, back towards Centre Block, along with the Changelings that Crysalis was able to recall. The Fossil-cultists and PRT members are scattered.
The Ark eventually closes again. After a while (spent gathering supplies), Ferelli leads the traumatised survivors out of the Alamo to the shore, where they meet up with the Endeavor crew. They discuss what to do next. They decide to head along the coast, to Cahokia...

Feirellyne and Eugene enter the library, and ask about the situation. Demi fills them in on what she knows.
Demi continues to help the librarians with their researches.

The Cahokians continue to be stymied by the snow. A few go up to the library for supplies.

Cinderella is welcomed at Blackgate.

Gollum tries to escape from the jail cell, without success. He is visited by a number of people that the Ring is calling out to...

Han leaves the Falcon in the hands of a couple of the Nigerians, while he leads the others down the hill to Armory. They arrive late in the night.

Laney leads the fight against the witches that ensues...
However, the spatial distortions now lead to temporal distortions, creating time dilation on the top of the glacier. So as a day passes on most of the island, only two and a half hours pass at that location...
Even so, they are tiring...

The Avalon remains at NERV.

“Huh? Don’t they know that we’re from two different worlds?” Jane asked.”They’re popular. We’re regular!” Jane said.
 
“I suppose the one with the slightly large head is interesting,” Daria said.
 
“You’re just interested whether it’s a deformity or not,” Jane said.
 
“That’s part of it,” Daria said.
 
“I don’t know whether it is or not,” Upchuck said.
 
“Upchuck, thanks for the tour, but you can go now,” Daria said.
 
“Fiesty! I shall see you later,” Upchuck said. He leaned back and tried to whisper in Daria’s ear. “Confidentially, I may join the Mystery Club.” He then made a flirtaceous growl.
 
“And you would be welcome to, go!” Daria said.
 
As Upchuck left, the two boys approached. “Hey, Partying hard or hardly partying.”
 
“Hardly interested!” Jane said.
 
“So.. where you girls been all our lives.”
 
“We’ve been waiting her for you,” Jane said. She smirked to Daria. “We were born here, in this room. We then grew up in this room. We thought we would die here alone! But now you’ve come, and so our lives can get started!”
 
“She likes you,” the other guy said to the big headed one.


Daria spotted Quinn near one of the ceramic tigers.
