It wasn't easy, being a university student in Australia, Chris considered as he arrived outside Mary White College, the residence he had used since he started studying at the University of New England four years early. He also knew it would be more difficult being a member of the College Resident Committee, and walk a fine line between toing the Party line and showing initiative as the Dining Hall Officer.
'I guess I'll talk to Amanda about that soon,' he considered, thinking of the Chief Comrade of the College Resident Committee the University Bureau had chosen for this year.
