22nd Century
Further colonisation of space occurs, especially on Mars. Terraforming begins. Colonisation also continues in the Main Belt.

A New Cold War begins between China and Russia on one side, and India, America and the UCR on the other.

2100s
More Asteroid colonies established.

Tensions continue to rise between China and America.


2110s
The Sino-American Cold War drags in Russia on the Chinese side.

More American colonies are established on Mars.


2120s
The Second Cold War drags in the UCR on the American side.

More Chinese colonies are established on Mars.

A depression causes famine in east Africa.


23rd Century
Colonisation occurs in Venus' upper atmosphere. Mercury also gets Chinese, Russian, Indian and UCR colonies.

Outwards, Colonisation occurs on the Galilean Satellites (Mainly, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto, Io being too unstable).

Manned missions occur out to Uranus.

Two low key wars occur on Earth between the two blocks, but recovery occurs before the end of the century.


24th Century
Colonisation spreads out to the Saturnian system (Mainly on Titan, Enceladus and Rhea.)

Many of Lunar colonies become independent. (But some remain part of the UCR).

Manned missions occur to Neptune and Pluto.

Russia and China fall out, ending the Second Cold War, with the Sixth Sino-Russian War (which was also fought between their space colonies in the Inner System). China is the (Pyrrhic) victor, gaining an independent Siberia as a puppet and all of Russia's Mars colonies.

25th Century
Colonisation spreads out to the Uranus system (Miranda, mostly).

More independent states arise, on Mars (with China loosing the gains it had made in the previous century).

The international system remains stable, despite occasional depressions and AI uprisings.


26th Century
Colonisation spreads out to the Neptune System (Triton, Neried)

Manned missions occur throughout the Kuiper Belt.
Independent states arise on Mercury, Venus and in the Belt.

Another Cold War, between India and the UCR on one side, and the United States and South America on the other.


27th Century
Colonisation occurs in the Plutonium system

Independent states arise in the Jovian system.

Early in the century, a war begins between the Indian/Commonwealth Entente and the American Alliance. The Alliance looses after a British fleet commander authorises an orbital bombardment of Chicago.

The Western portion of the United States finally breaks away in the aftermath of the war.


28th Century
Independent states arise in the Saturnian System.

Subtly, the balance of power in the United Nations shifts from Earth, to Mars (with most of the Outer system polities supporting the Martian polities.)


29th Century
Independent states arise in the Uranian system,

Most Kuiper Belt objects had been colonised by the end of the Century.


30th Century
Independent states arise in the Neptunian system.

AIs seize control of some Belt polities.

War occurs between China, South America and California on one side and New Russia (the Martian polity that had been occupied by China over five hundred years before), the UCR (which includes Martian polities) and the United States of Utopia Planetia (formed from former American colonies) on the other, in the middle of the century. China, South America and California loose...


3001
California completes payment of Reparations to the United States of Utopia Planetia for the loses in the War of 2961.

Adam Oliver (a Traditional Democrat) is inaugurated as the 329th President of the United States (of America).

The Allied States of Mercurian Nigeria joins the UCR.

A major pirate hideout on the plains of Mercury is discovered and the occupants 'taken care' of.

Illia Geraldson is elected as the Australasian representative to the Council of the United Commonwealth Realms.


3002
The Oliver Administration makes good on one of it's promises. A third American Space Elevator is constructed in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Jannissarial Alliance of Ship Cities (on Venus) joins the UCR.

Yet another prototype for an FTL drive is tested near Pluto by Tesla-Apple in cooperation with the USUP (United States of Utopia Planetia) Defense Force Advanced Projects Division. Unsurprisingly it doesn't work.

Armstrong City rejoins the Greater European Federation.


3003
The Republic of Vesta joins the Greater European Federation.

An Australasian Navy ship vanishes enroute between the base on Cruithne and the main UCR Earth L2 Spaceport. Investigation suggests pirates (or privateers) with a stealth base near Earth's orbit.

Tesla-Apple again tests an FTL prototype. It proves more promising than the previous year's test.

United Nations Peace Keepers are sent into a fractious region of Mars where Russian descended and Japanese descended statelets had come to blows.
